Dave and Teresa are east coast natives living in North Hollywood, CA. We miss the four seasons, deciduous forests, large open spaces, grass, and our friends and family most of all. We love LA because of Trader Joe’s everywhere, a plethora of good restaurants, amazing weather, awesome friends, and our church (the Oasis).

Hey T,
I like it! I’m not a very good writer but maybe I’ll get better if I do it more.
Neil Anderson has good stuff and the class sounds great.
Happy anniversary!! Mike and I are very proud of both of you. I would think it would be a challenge to follow Dave’s calling to LA. I thought long and hard about marrying a pastor who could get moved anywhere including God forsaken places like ……Well I won’t say.
The sacrifice got easier as our lives
started becoming more welded together. It became our life not just his.
There are so many adjustments the first year. Like poverty. I thought the budget was a suggestion! Little did I know that Goodwill would become a weekly answer to heartfelt prayers. I do admit though that some of my best “answered prayers stories” happened the first few years together.
It’s funny how you can fall in love with someone because they have that solid foundation of a committed life with God. It doesn’t occur to you that the very thing that makes you respect that person is going to make your life very difficult at times.
Even now that my own personal walk with God has definition to it there are many times I sacrifice for the call on Mike’s life. There are many things on a daily basis I don’t get because God gets the first and best of my husband. I have to make a choice daily to appreciate the good character God is building in Mike and that I benefit from instead of the times he gives his energy somewhere else that God deems necessary.
I have not always been a happy supportive camper to God’s plan so I thank God for his patience! You and Dave are starting so much farther down road than Mike and I did. We are very proud of both of you. I think it was very courageous of you to follow Dave to LA. Kudos to you girl.
Happpppy Anniversary!
